Jean Seberg.  I first came to know of the amazing Ms. Seberg when I watched the Godard film Breathless which is definitely worth watching.  Jean plays Patricia, an American expatriate living in Paris, trying to get her big break in journalism, selling NewYork Herald Tribunes part time.
Ms. Seberg’s style throughout the film is impeccable. She’s androgynous yet feminine.  From her cute pixie hair cut to her winged cat eyeliner.  In one scene she looks perfect in a striped shirt dress and sunglasses, interviewing a famous author on a hot summer day.

Patricia is seen wearing stripes throughout the movie, giving a nautical tinge to her outfits, which is especially fitting for the summer atmosphere.

Jean Seberg and Jean-Paul Belmondo share such great on screen chemistry.  Breathless is definitely a film worth checking out if you’re a film aficionado since it is referenced all the time, such as in Noah Baumbach’s The Squid and the Whale.  Even if you’re not a film buff, Breathless is an entertaining, unique gangster love story of sorts with a philosophical moral.  But I won’t ruin it for you, go watch it yourself
